The Covid-19 crisis definitely hit my family hard! Both my partner & I task in the restaurant & service in the street… During the quarantine, our restaurants were closed temporarily. The bunch of us lost numerous months worth of income & the unemployment checks were hardly enough to cover our bills. I got far behind on the rent & my partner & I were pretty much forced to transfer out of our apartment. The two of us had to transfer in with my parents. The two of us currently rent the basement for a small amount of cash that covers our electric & heat. My parents have been helpful & supportive during this time period, but my partner does not enjoy residing with other people… She is absolutely miserable with our situation. I keep telling my partner that things will eventually get better, but we seem to argue on a regular basis. Yesterday my partner was honestly unhappy because I didn’t want to turn on the section heater. It’s a little frigid outside, but we have the baseboard heater. I believed the section heating appliance would make it way too overheated. I suggested keeping the section heating appliance off until we were ready to go to bed, & my partner & I ended up in a sizable fight. The two of us were yelling & screaming loudly! My parents came down to the basement to make sure that everything was okay with us. My partner was irritated that they entered our personal section without an invitation. I can’t wait for the quarantine to be done, so my partner & I can go looking for a place of our own. Both of us are stressed out to the max.
