On most Saturdays, I have to work.
I spend my days at my office and the rest of the night in the restaurant I work at.
When I am done with my shift I am usually too exhausted to do anything so I just go home. But, on the occasional Saturday that I have off, I make plans to stay out all night long. I meet up with some friends after my office shift for dinner and spend the whole night on the town. By the time I get home, it is late in the night. With my schedule, I always forget to set my air conditioner before I leave to go out. After a night of drinking, I hate coming home to muggy, stuffy house and it is dreadful without the cooling unit. Plus, when I come back from drinking with my friends, I always crank the air conditioner on the highest setting, which does not help my cooling costs. In fact, I have noticed that my bills have increased on certain months when I have a lot of Saturday nights off. Although the difference is not much, I think I need to set up a plan to remind me to turn on my cooling system before I go out with my friends. If I make a point to turn the air conditioner on before I leave, I will come home to an already cooled home. This way, I won’t be spending more on my cooling bills and I won’t have to put stress on my cooling system to compensate for the A/C being off while I was out.
