Big time injuries as an electrician

As an electrician my mama has suffered a handful of big time injuries residing in Warren.

It’s exhausting enough when you hurt yourself in your week to week life, or as a result of your own negligence.

I think of all the times I nearly killed myself as a kid out of pure stupidity, like the time I threw a big pole into the air & watched it come down & hit myself in the face. I was bleeding all over and needed to get stitches. But sporadically you’re ruined beyond your control, whether it’s an accident or the result of another person’s carelessness, and it’s especially scary when it happens in the career while being pushed to the limit physically. Although my mother usually works in her hometown, Warren, she is often called to jobs in Highland Park, Southfield, & Royal Oak—all along the southern outskirts of Detroit. For the first 25 years that she worked for the electrical union, she never had a drastic accident or injury. But a single task called for her to balance on a ladder at a precarious angle without help or support from a fellow worker. Sadly, my mom fell off the ladder & broke various ribs, her left arm, & bones in her left knee. The people I was with and I were glad that she didn’t break her spine during the fall, but we also knew how pressing it was to find a personal injury attorney in Warren that specializes in career cases like this. Before we blindly applied for worker’s compensation, we looked for a personal injury attorney.
